You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment. The treatment is extremely comfortable and you remain fully clothed as you sit upon the EMSELLA chair.
Patient to wear loose clothing for best results to allow treatment to work. Patient to remove jewellery, phones any metal objects such as coins & keys from pockets, credit and or other cards prior to treatment.
A treatment takes about 30 minutes and you will need at least 6 sessions, scheduled twice a week. Whilst being treated you can choose to read a book or magazine.

No, however this treatment for urinary incontinence is recognised by Australian Government and eligible patients can apply for the Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS) to claim towards this treatment.

EMSELLA is a great option for women and men of any age over 18 who desire a solution for urinary incontinence and improvement in their quality of life and wanting to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles.

You may experience temporary side effects such as:

  • Muscular pain
  • Temporary muscle spasm
  • Temporary joint or tendon pain
  • Local erythema (a type of skin rash caused by injured or inflamed blood capillaries) or skin redness.

Although these side effects normally pass quickly and are less frequent as you continue your series of treatments.

A trail treatment is for free and you have no obligation to continue. We recommend a treatment plan which consists of 10 sessions. As each patient responds differently the treatement required differs from patient to patient, however the 10 sessions last for a year and can be used up in a way to best suit the patient’s needs. The costs of the treatment plan (10 sessions) is $2,000. A single treatment is $330 and a single top up treatment is $220.

You may observe improvement after a single session. The results will typically continue to improve over the next few weeks. The best results will last for about six months before you may need maintenance treatment.
